Taking the NREN on an Expedition around the Globe
From August 2006 to April 2007, the Danish Navy surveillance vessel VAEDDEREN has been transformed to carry the largest Danish research expedition in 50 years, the so-called Galathea3 expedition.
The Danish NREN, Forskningsnettet, has provided Internet connection for the expedition throughout the journey via a satellite link.
