Deploying Authorisation Mechanisms for Federated Services in eduroam (DAME)
The updating and expansion of the eduroam infrastructure is the responsibility of the JRA5 activity of the GN2 project, and the DAMe project is also part of that initiative. DAMe’s main goal is the extension of eduroam with authentication and authorisation mechanisms allowing the exchange of security information (attributes). That information could be used by different services in order to provide a finer grain of access control to shared resources. This project has been defined upon previous work developed by the University of Murcia named NAS-SAML (Network Access Service based on SAML).
